APPLICANTS: Important news about admission to secondary vocational education institutions in 2026/27!

 

The Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic has approved the procedure for admitting applicants to secondary vocational education institutions for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Key Changes:

  • Admission of applicants who completed Grade 11 to state-funded and contract-based places will be carried out based on the results of the current year’s Nationwide Scholarship Test (ORT).
  • An exception applies to specialties in culture, arts, physical education, and sports.
  • A separate admission quota has been approved for foreign citizens.
  • Special attention is given to ensuring access to education for socially vulnerable groups, including persons with disabilities, orphans, children of those who died during the April, June, and Batken events, as well as returnees (kairylmans).

Application Rules:

  • During each admission round, an applicant may submit one application for a state-funded (voucher) place and one application for contract-based study.
  • Citizens of Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan participate on equal terms in accordance with international agreements.
  • Applications are submitted through the electronic system “Abiturient Online”.

The goal of these changes is to ensure transparency, accessibility, and efficiency of the admission campaign within the secondary vocational education system of the Kyrgyz Republic.
